INDEX SPLENDORUM:
Over the past several issues, we’ve tarried and marveled over several extraordinary performances and performers’ lives (Nina Simone, Bobi Wine, and Sinéad O’Connor) to which this week we add another, albeit in an entirely different register, from several years back, as the eminent Brazilian pianist Eliane Rodrigues, in recital in Rotterdam, launches into a spirited rendition of Chopin’s Polonaise Fantaisie op. 61, hits an improbable snag, and somehow powers through: a truly dazzling display of sly grace under ridiculous pressure. Enjoy!
See you next week!

Victor Borda
My first spelling was bad………
That kind of verve is special in this age of alternate language and meanings and hats of to Victor Botha who took this kind of performance to the extreme.
Best wishes
