Thanks for addressing Kapuścińki's willingness to ignore in some cases the facts of the matters he reported on. Loved his books when I first encountered them in the 1990s but I tend not to recommend them to others these days largely due to accounts of RK's various misrepresentations. Many of these accounts came out after he was no longer around to defend himself. I'd love to know of any other well-rounded well-informed discussions of the issue.

I actually soldiered through a lot of Rushdie during seminary but when he took the loss of his eye and made it profitable?;That was it! As a lifetime member of the Chautauqua Institute I am appalled at the grift that man incurs and he just makes me mad that things at Chautauqua had to change becatof him
