A BLACK FRIDAY CONVERGENCE AND A CORRECTION
We told you we’d start experimenting with mini-dispatches between our more traditional fortnightly mailings. So here’s an initial instance.
We wish we could take credit for this one—Bruegel already anticipating Black Friday with his 1562 painting The Triumph of Death (a friend sent it along, saying it seemed to be circulating this week in Belgium, though upon further research it seems versions were already circulating in a meme sort of way as far back as 2019), but who cares, it’s still a pretty irresistible linkage and we thought you might enjoy it.

This also gives us a chance to alert those of you trying to order Ren’s new book A Trove of Zohars with its footnote delirium, on publisher Hat & Beard’s website (use this link), that the code for the 20% discount should be “TROVE20” (with no space between the TROVE and the 20). Sorry for any confusion.
Any ideas how to get the book in the UK?
Postage from USA is £50!
